READ La Porte County Inc. is a United Way agency providing free tutoring in English, math and reading to anyone of age who needs to upgrade skills. One-on-one tutoring is offered at La Porte County Public Library and occasionally at other county locations. One-on-one and small group tutoring is done in the schools during school hours. Volunteers serve as literacy, English as a second language, and classroom tutors.
